The footprint of our home has not changed since purchase in 1979. There are no encroachments. In 2022, we replaced our back fence, no small expense, at the behest of OC San. An easement grants temporary access for a project. Once completed, the property is restored & returned to the tax paying owner. Nothing is planned on our easement except demolition & concrete fencing across the back of our home, blocking light & ocean breezes. This is no longer an easement. It’s definitely not a compromise.

My name is Tanya Sapp and I am a resident on Rhone Lane. As 50-year residents, deeply involved in community service, my family urge an extension until June 30th to review OC Sanitation's proposed easement reclamation. Let's collaborate for a solution respecting homeowners and preserving community integrity. Our contributions deserve acknowledgment, and a thoughtful approach will benefit all stakeholders in the long term.

I am writing to express my strong opposition to proceeding with a lawsuit against the homeowners of Rhone Lane pertaining to the easement to take our land. I believe engaging in a lawsuit may not serve our long term goal. Instead, I propose exploring alternative solutions and negotiation. By fostering communication and seeking common ground, we may be able to find a mutually beneficial resolution without resorting to litigation. Let us exhaust all possible avenues for resolution. Thank you.
